Cat Pens made to measure steel frames and mesh or poly carbonate roofs: the ultimate in rigidity and security for patios and small outdoor spaces.

Cat Pens by ProtectaPet® are bought by domestic clients who are looking to create a secure area for their cat and by commercial clients such as catteries and breeders who would like to build a secure compound for their cats. Cat Pens use the same modular components as our Cat Runs, with the addition of horizontal posts to construct a rigid frame which can support a mesh roof (up to a maximum width of 4 metres). We offer the customer a choice of galvanised steel or high tensile polycarbonate mesh. There is also the choice of a polycarbonate ‘weather proof’ Cat Pen roof or a mesh roof.

Cat Pens can be constructed on hard ground such as patio, concrete or tarmac with Bolt Down Plates, or they can be constructed on turf with Ground Spikes. The Cat Pen can be fitted against existing walls or it can stand independently. For example, where a cat owner has partition doors, they may wish to fix the Cat Pen to the wall. The Cat Pen framework is bespoke made to measure and can be designed to fit around outward opening patio doors and other features of your grounds. The Cat Gates are available in single or double width sizes.

For commercial customers, Cat Pens can be built inside existing buildings such as barns, or they can be built independently with polycarbonate weather proof roofs. Customisation options include perspex sneeze guards to prevent the spread of diseases and ‘cat-lock’ gates: a framework of two gates so cats connected by a tunnel, so the cats can’t slip between your legs on entering and exiting the Cat Pen.

Due to the complexity of fitting this system, the bespoke Cat Pen is only available through our installation service: they are made to order and can be customised to the appropriate size and shape of your patio or outdoor area.
